How to Properly Light a Restaurant, bar or coffee shop?

When restaurants and food services are designed, a thing that needs to include their planning next to the physical space must be lighting. Put yourself in your shoes and you will find your customers who want a feast for your senses on your branch. Functional as well as setting the mood of your décor, it is important that your design to leave your customers impressed enough for a return.

What attributes should I look for in making the lighting of my restaurant enjoyable?

Inappropriate lighting In fact destroys the experience of the restaurant. It is important that you understand the atmosphere you want, and the type of venue it is, to be imageable in order to enhance the existing theme positively. From a a glow of intimacy to the feeling of generosity and relaxation, the layout and selection of fixtures for lighting should appeal to the image to be conveyed, the color, the use of space, the atmosphere, the visibility and the surface finishing. These factors determine the layer light approach, the light control and the light-level variation.

Shine your restaurant through the other time of meals, and through the use and space of your place. Good food in a restaurant has turned to the point where subtlety in all details is key. Direct lighting is valuable for areas where your food is displayed (e.g. salad), while indirect lighting is used for the creation of the scale and the place appears charming.

Expand your scope of success by remembering to give your customers and not the architecture the top priority. They're the ones you're busy with. If you are concerned about your comfort level, make sure that there are pleasant lighting. Use colors sparingly to accentuate the moments or any details in your place. A wrong choice would lead you to a circus-like environment.

What do you think the current trend in restaurant interior design is?

Interior design is usually the most expensive of the investment on any project you want to start in this business. Renovating and redesigning your pitch at regular intervals is not an issue if you were the wise to look for flexible lighting. I said regular intervals because you break the monotony and cultivate both as fresh and attractive to the existing clientele as well as those who will be talking about the way your restaurant feels and looks. The rule of thumb states that you must be creative.

One style that quickly gains influence in the restaurants is to have them adorned in LEDs. Energy-efficient, flexible and absolutely beautiful, these lamps are available in a wide range of patterns and colors. You do not need to worry about whether your place uses wire tapes and materials or standard devices. If you can afford to save on your cool budget later. However, make a prior review on the one you acquire that you have no problem with dimmers.

For some, it is the grouping of trailer faucets especially for the places you want to highlight. The host area or above a stand are locations where these lamps are generally used. A multi-level cluster can have trailers of similar size and shape to make it a dramatic appeal or you can be arranged in a single line to emphasize the similarity of the lighting choice. Other owners of the joints in the demand for industrial fixtures of a 1965 type, in their dining room catering both for the upscale as well as the casual atmospheres.

Fourth, as the bars have become the focal point for restaurants, designers have been sorting to introduce dramatic lighting there to sell your premium spirits. From the background lighting or the use of track lights, you have worked for the uplighting element at the back. Some of you in efforts to combine frosted glass panels behind with colored LEDs to draw a more comprehensive texture and color. Others have still managed well with Plain LED lamps placed in spaces along the back edge of the shelves to get this effect from Pop of Light. In addition, if you are positioned directly behind a transparent liquor bottle that allows effective branding.

The light is further used to show the wall panels such as hand-brushed plaster or untreated wood instead of side light or downlighting. The aim is to provide the wall with a dimension and is achieved when the fixtures are implanted at the top of the panels or better behind the banquets or stalls. And although most people avoid the intense illumination of colored LEDs, they can be used (magenta, red and blue especially) to revive the place especially on weekends.

Next, with Edison lamps becoming more popular, some business operations work with low light levels for the instigation of a sexy atmosphere and make these light elements stand out prominently. But they demand for them that the photoelectric barrier respects at least the customer's needs of comfort and safe circulation. They must also ensure that they comply with the state regulations. With these Edison lamps, another factor that has been approved by the latter, deals with exposed incandescent bulbs that are hung with a cord over a table or even rods for soft annealing.

One last note. Whatever style you choose to go with, make sure to have them with clear glass shades. They would add the required sparkle apart from guaranteeing you a maximized output of light.

What about exterior lighting? I believe it is as crucial to my business as the interior lighting.

Adequate lighting increases the exterior of the building, adds the beauty, quality and charm of being visible, to alert those who invite business and invite potential

customers. You will need your entrances, signs, parking and architectural monuments that are well-lightened to for the purpose of lighting, providing lighting to avoid accidents and a sense of security. What needs to be taken into account is the location and the degree of intensity and the style of the lights remain in harmony with the ambiance. Landscape lamps, floor lamps and goose-neck lamps are the ideal choice.

Your entrance area would determine the first impression of your restaurant. Probably the waiting area in case the dining room is fully occupied. Plan your lighting accordingly so that you won't have a negative psychological impact on your customers. While young people tend to be fascinated with low levels of enlightenment, they are often associated with a high quality service and even higher prices, as the elders usually want it to be brighter to soothe their mood.
